Ok if you don't care to know which direction its turning. This one is
reversible and there were times when the A/B had no level 0 overlap when I
was holding it in position by hand. I can push the opto's around perhaps
20 thou and probably fix that, but it will be critical when the duty cycle
is somewhere between 66 and 75% logic 1. I've no clue what the minimum
current for reliable operation might be as they spec it for 20ma, with a
50ma maximum. So I think another identical wheel, stacked with this one to
cut the slot widths in half or so, is probably the best solution. But I'm
going to work on the code and loop it to descend .005 per loop as that
seems to be the maximum I can cut with the bit's flex being noticeable when
I cut .007 deep. At .008 deep, it looks as if its that proverbial 1/8th
turn from broke.

I have brass sheet enough to make two more, with the lesser downfeed, which
should give me more uniform shaping as this one started out at a deeper cut
and the bits wandering around is quite visible. Once timed, I can always
seal them together with a bit of solder Or better yet, a drop of
superglue. That can be warmed up and adjusted. :)

Cheers, Gene
