Peter, could You, please, explain in little more detail, how do You intend that? This machine has 4 servos, including Z axis, driven by 2 pieces of 7i39LV. The way I see is that there are 2 setting for PID loop - one should be relatively soft (command for probing move would be "select" for mux2 components, which would change the PID parameters) and Z axis ferror pin should be watched and "torch has touched material" event would be, when ferror exceeds a certain value, for example, 0,5 mm.
