Finally have the old Acra mill home where I can have a look at the system and see what it has and what it needs.
The Z axis has a Baldor (Anilam labled) FMD0000B-00 and the Y axis has a Miltronics (also Anilam labled) MT30M4-5. There's no X axis motor but I assume it would have been the same as the Y axis. Both have 3 newton-meter peak stall torque. What would be a modern equivalent in terms of power so they'll at least match the performance of the originals? Price is important. I looked for that Miltronics number and $1,000+ for 20+ year old motors does not give the wallet a comfy feeling. I'd like to use the glass scales, if they're good.
