I am not sure, but 640x480 comes to mind. It can go higher, but the
resultant image does not seem to improve. Going lower seems to cause it to
slow because of the time it spends decimating the data down to the lower
dimensions. Or at least thats my present theory, based on what I know
about tv cameras in general. Higher probably slows because of the sheer
data coming in thru the USB port. Mine is plugged into a front port on a
D525MW equipt ARK lunchbox, which could be a 1.1 port. A 2.0 port should
handle it.

So lets look, it is plugged into:

Bus 001 Device 003: ID 058f:5608 Alcor Micro Corp.
And:
That is a 1.1 hub.

Only this hub is a 2.0 hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

And I haven't a clue which of the usb ports, 4 on the rear, 2 on the front,
might be that 2.0 port.

It might do to experiment and see if I can find a faster port...

And TBT, I am surprised hugely that a motherboard as new as the D525MW is
so poorly equipt with usb2.0 stuffs. Mind boggling even. But both os them
