There is a lot of high-frequency low-amplitude flexing in those
infernal devices.
One thing that surprises me is how far any two things (hoses, wires,
brackets) are required to be from each other in an engine bay, it's in
the order of an inch unless they are both locally constrained.

It's not unknown for the metal lifting loops on engines to just find a
vibration mode and fall off, under no load.
