I don't know.  GParted is a pretty dangerous utility, so 
better experiment
before you put any more work on that drive.  I'm no expert on
this stuff!  But, I'm now a big believer is solid state 
drives.  my main
desktop has an SSD for the main disk, and then I do a 
nightly backup to
a magnetic disk.
