Weldor is the person holding the thing that gets hot. Welder is the 
thing that gets hot. ;)

Same as sailer is the floating thing the sailor rides on.

Somewhere around I have an old copy of the Craftsmen "Oxy-Acetylene 
Weldor's Handbook".

Odd thing is a person who drives a vehicle is a driver, not a drivor. 
Perhaps because the vehicle is a car or truck or wagon instead of a 
driver. If that conveyance in your driveway (that you park on before 
taking off for a drive on the parkway) was commonly called a driver then 
you'd be a drivor upon getting in the *ahem* drivor's seat.
