I'am using linuxcnc with the parallelport setup to control an 4 axis stepper mill since two years. This setup is working satisfying.
Now I'd like to switch to (probably) the mesa 5i25 7i76 combo to achive a higher step frequency, get more I/O lines and for the watchdog. As I've got a lathe awaking to be controlled by linuxcnc I'me thinking about using a second 7i76 for the lathe connected to the same 5i25 but operated by another linuxcnc instance. Is this possible?
