Marius, I have the same motor from my Emco 120P. I looked quite extensively for a compatible DC spindle drive and didn't find any modern drive that met my needs at a price I was willing to pay. Parker has a few options that might work, but still often require elaborate power supply, and may still not hit the full 400V.
http://www.inverterdrive.com/group/DC-Thyristor-Drives/?filter=Type%7c4Q+(Four+Quadrant)&StockOnly=1&filter=Output%7c320V+DC I ended up doing what most Emco owners do - bought a WEG induction motor in a IEC100L frame (exact match on shaft diameter and bolt holes), and a Fuji VFD. Easily controlled with a MESA card now. Of course the problem is that you end up with this very high quality Seimens motor that you can't bear to get rid of, but that has no function since you can't drive it, and no one wants to buy it for the same reason. ;) -Sam On 2014-09-12 07:31:20 +0000, alex chiosso said: > Hi Marius. > This optios can be a good one. > Of course you need at least a 3 phases motor and VFD for closed loop vector > control due to the torque value and stability at low speed. > And for sure the motor need a cooling fan (not selfcooled) . > > Alex > > > On Fri, Sep 12, 2014 at 9:22 AM, Marius Alksnys > <[email protected]> > wrote: > >> I think instead of buying some new DC spindle drive my customer would >> choose replacing this motor with simple AC motor and buying new 3-phase >> VFD. >> >> On 2014.09.12 10:00, alex chiosso wrote: >>> Hi Marius. >>> My 1 cent opinion is to by a new DC spindle drive according to the motor >>> specification . >>> Nowadays this kind of drives are not too expensive . >>> This kind of motor seems to be a sort of custom made for EMCO so you >> should >>> also verify the old drive >>> specifications and wiring diagram to be sure to match properly with the >> new >>> drive. >>> The time=cost (and safety aspects) discourage an "homebrew" solution . >>> >>> Alex >> >> >> >> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >> Want excitement? >> Manually upgrade your production database. >> When you want reliability, choose Perforce >> Perforce version control.
