Because, since I have been using LCNC, starting at about 2.0.0 it has always been a 2 step process to enable the machinery. You have always had to press F1 once and F2 once, F1 gets it out of its default e-stop startup, but it then takes an F2 press to actually enable the machine. Be aware that many modern keyboards now default to an Fkey disabled state at powerup. You can identify those keyboards by their having a key or button labeled F, which when pressed, will enable the Fkeys until the next power up, or they can be disabled again by a second tap on the F key. > On Sun, Nov 23, 2014 at 7:00 AM, Peter C.
