I am sorry that we are having such difficulties in communicating with one another.
I would like you to reach your personal goals with your current project. I would like to see hardware drivers for ARM boards such as raspberry pi become a part of linuxcnc, or reduce the technical barriers to building a new hostmot2 hardware driver outside the linuxcnc source tree if that is convenient to developers and users of ARM boards. I also want to thank you for taking some time in this thread to explain why some of my requests (such as asking you to prepare a github pull request) are more difficult or time consuming for you and your workflow than I anticipate or expect. This is an common problem in mature free software projects, and linuxcnc is certainly affected. It is my goal to recognize when this is happening and do better at helping contributors and potential new contributors, but I have clearly failed in this case. Given our repeated trouble working directly together, I fully understand if you would prefer to work with someone else to get the feedback that will be helpful to you. I believe you have already worked some with Andy Pugh, and he has a pretty good background in hostmot2, so please consider working with him if that is more comfortable for you. I will accept his technical judgements in this matter. I am also open to continuing to try to work together. I will do my best to listen to you, ask questions when I am uncertain what you mean, always remember that you have good intentions, and remember that what I imagine is easy is not necessarily so. If you would like to continue trying to work together, please let me know. In any case, I hope you will accept this apology for the hurt feelings I have caused during our IRC discussions.
