Yes, we still have copperheads, water moccasins, and coral snakes in the US, but by far the most common poisonous snakes has to be the various kinds of rattlers. To be honest here in northern Ohio I see very few snakes, except garter snakes yeesh they are everywhere you look. Not that they arn't around, just don't see em.
