Hi everybody!

I have a question regarding feed rate in G01 gcode.
I use it in rectangular pipe cutting 4 axis machine where XYZ are linear
and AB are rotational axis:
The challenge is to have constant cutting speed - when cutting on edge of
pipe and also when cutting on flat surface of rectangular pipe.

for example:
G01 X12.295 Y250.000 Z74.092 A50.625 B50.625 F500

So having XYZ and AB axis mentioned in same G01 gcode line, and XYZ and AB
having different units - XYZ have mm/min and AB having deg/min so -
how is F500 interpreted interpreted in linuxcnc?

Would it limit XYZ to 500mm/min and AB to 500deg/min?

>From simulation: https://youtu.be/g1p4RL5t-Sw it seems that when pipe is
rotated F500 applies as 500deg/min, and cutting on flat surfaces it is
500mm/min.

What is needed is constant speed over surface - but surface is moving in my
example.

Do i need to bring up feed rate when pipe rotates to simulate constant
speed over surface?

Interpretation is much appreciated.

regards
