Oh, and did you publish your findings somewhere, or could you post them here? I'd be really interested, because I have a Renishaw probe but I don't have the receiver (OMI). Well actually I have two Renishaw probes, but only one receiver and reverse engineering the protocol is on my list of things to do, but it will take long before I can find the time, to work on it. Did you work on the old (OMI receiver) or the new (OMI-2 receiver) protocol?
