Chuckle. I read in the link that the gap is so fine that swarf cannot 
penetrate.  Whatever that ad-writing genius is smoking or ingesting, I 
want some as its obviously great stuff.

I've not located a seller yet, but the sliding to telescope sheet metal 
things with a small roofing peak in the center would appear to be as 
servicable in everyday use as anything.  I bought, several years back 
some 1/2" folded bellows stock but its not the bees knees where the 
motion is horizontal.  The bottom of the fold packs up with cuttings 
dust, and when it should collapse, it bulges up in the center because it 
can't fold tight enough.  Paint brush and vacuum it clean and its good 
for another 3 or 4 minutes on the gap in the g0704's base to y carriage 
in front of the carriage.  IOW, not a real good seal to keep crap out of 
the ball screw & nut left exposed.
