Tell me about it.  8-).
I became distracted with work-work projects starting with a really big LED
light show project and from there it just hasn't stopped.  But this summer
was kind of the breaking point.  I decided I needed to spend some more time
on me rather than everyone else.

Using my ELS again with only the Z axis powered on my South Bend has me
re-thinking Linux on the Beagle but until Fredieric RIBLE's post I didn't
think lathes were possible with the BBB and MachineKit.  I need to finish
watching his video.    His is a most impressive accomplishment!

What I have done with my ELS, again about 7 years ago, was port the
Microchip CANopen stack to the PIC18 and enough to have it create key press
messages and respond to message numbers and data for the screen.  Since it
also has an MPG the potential for a simple front end for a Beagle is there
as a control panel with real buttons while displaying graphical stuff out
the HDMI.

Maybe when I retire I can find the time...
