First order of business is probably the mesaflash session. Get, from the mesanet site, 7i90.zip. I unziped it to the Public subdir in my home directory, which will give you a 7i90 directory. cd 7i90/configs/hostmot2$, and an ls will show you quite a lengthy list of files. There ought to be a README describing which does what, but there isn't. You'll find mesaflash in 7i90/utils/linux of that 7i90.zip. The docs are in a file called "7i90hdman.pdf", and I found them on the mesanet site on the 7i90 page. Thats an explanation of the card and how to program it and use it. So get both of those files and make the pdf into dead tree format & put in thin 3 ring binder, you'll use it, a lot. Its 21 duplex printed sheets of paper, or 42 pages non-duplex. ISTR running mesaflash without any arguments gives a good help screen. How to run it is in the pdf. For my lathe, ISTR I used the SVST4_8 configuration.
