That's where I'd look for a problem first.
OHHHHhhh! I NEVER, EVER, update the kernel on a LinuxCNC
system. In fact, I NEVER update the kernel on
ANY Linux system that has any custom or special drivers on
it, as then the drivers can get out of sync
with the kernel.
If you want a new kernel for some reason, then it is best to
just re-install the whole system.
