Hello Gene, I've seen those hybrid stepper motors are a pretty popular option now. I frankly don't trust regular steppers at least for the machines I'm used to retrofit. Are they a lot cheaper than a servo motor? Because looking at how servo motor prices falled down I think today is more than convenient to install servo motors without thinking it. At least for the 2NM and above range IMO.
