I've attached it to a spare usb plug on the back of the box, and hooked the red wire marked rs- to the rs- terminal, and the black wire marked rs+ to that terminal ,but haven't made any changes to the vfd config yet, dmesg now shows I have a new ttyUSB0 device. I'm assuming it can run at the max baudrate I can set the vfd at. But I need the "loaduser" line to make it work. And I am a member of the dialout group.
