I had some conversations with organizations at IFF who are willing to pay money to fund new Enigmail development. I demurred on accepting or rejecting their kind interest, because I didn't feel I had the authority to speak for the whole of the team. However. For this, I think we might want to consider reaching out to some of these groups and seeing if we can't get funding to have a professional graphic artist do these icons. Alternately, there were a couple of UI outfits I encountered there who might be willing to help as well. With respect to coding, I still feel I need to avoid touching the codebase. I'd be happy to help test, though. This would be a major UI overhaul for Enigmail. I don't think we should have any plans of having this done soon.
