Obviously, E can. To restaure the "normal" size, I just press Alt+ 3rd button, and move a bit, and Memo get's expanded at once: fact I "try" to resize, makes Memo tell E the right size (when boxes are not ticked). Once it's expanded, I do alt+left click to move it at the place I want. The initial place where E put's it on restauration from Lost, in 3rd pic, is roughly 505x498 ... This means, if ever I wanted to use your feature, it places the top left corner of decoration out of visible screen any way. The total height is not good, as said previously. The content height fits the size screen, minus shelf height; but when E rceates the window, you have to add decoration size ... It looks fine on monitor 3 because I have a shelf; but when I create an Eterm on 4 or 5 that do not have shelves ... the external dimensions of decoration are "way bigger" than screen (8p too large, and about 28p too height - top border is thicker than other sides). *** I will take a few minutes to tell about OOo. I tried once, long time ago, to make OOo remember desktop and virtual positions. As for Memo, thunderbird and Firefox. It was working for a time. Since mid 2008, I have a strange issue: the top left corner is always placed at the previous position of top left content. Each time I close and reload it, it's moving 4p right, and 24p down. E obviously have problems remembering it properly; it does it half way; it may be due to the way OOo announces the windows name and properties: the same document never produce the same window (internal) name. But still, it remember something: position of previous content !!! Just moving down right of exactly the decoration thickness. It may be related, or not. Don't know. Memo and Eterm never moved down right this way. Only OOo does it for me; I met an other app that is doing it, but i forgot which one. Of course, using any lock won't help :) i would not complain without trying easy solutions :) *** Memo and Eterm issues have been reproduced in a blanck fresh profile.
