As i said, tick boxes only affect resizing existing Windows; and that is fine for existing windows. The same bug still occurs for creation. > SVN commit 50133 How can i check the revision at runtime ? my rebuild scripts do not give me this info ... uranus enlightenment # head -n 100 /var/log/portage/x11-wm\:enlightenment-9999\:20100708-224242.log * CPV: x11-wm/enlightenment-9999 * REPO: enlightenment * USE: amd64 build doc elibc_glibc kernel_linux multilib nls pam userland_GNU >>> Unpacking source... * subversion switch start --> * old repository: http://svn.enlightenment.org/svn/e/trunk/e...@50087 * new repository: http://svn.enlightenment.org/svn/e/trunk//e U src/bin/e_border.c U src/modules/illume/e_cfg.c U src/modules/winlist/e_winlist.h U src/modules/winlist/e_mod_main.c U src/modules/winlist/e_winlist.c U src/modules/illume2/e_mod_config.c U src/modules/conf_mime/e_int_config_mime_edit.c U src/modules/everything/evry_view.c U src/modules/everything/evry_view_tabs.c U data/themes/default.edc U po/fr.po U po/it.po Updated to revision 50135. it should be ok ... => version 50133 still has "window creation issue" And in fact, the feature itself has a bug: when i do Eterm -g 200x100, the created window is *not* smaller than my monitor: it is 1288 pixels large including the decoration. When i start Eterm -g 200x100 in my smallest monitor, which is 1024*768, the created Eterm is actually 1032x796 ... including decoration, what is *larger* than the monitor. So, the content fits the monitor, but as the window manager part places the window, considering top left pixel of decoration, and not top left pixel of content ... the bottom right end is "far away out below and right from the actual bottom right pixel of monitor". => even if I was a user who want this feature, i would still report it's bugging. This makes me think of a very similar OpenOffice bug; I will detail later on if it is not fixed in the coming days. Apart this 8pix mistake, the features properly consider the size of the monitor the window is placed in. At least one thing working properly :) It's always 8 pixels too large; heigh does not always exceed monitor size, maybe because the feature deduces the height of bottom Shelf. My 1024*768 monitor doesn't have shelf at all.
