> Hi All,
I have just started out packaging on the opensuse build service (obs).
While not knowing the packaging rules etc there is already considerable
infrastructure in place and a large number of packages already being built
primarily from svn semi nightly. Yesterday i put in a series of patches to
take the Released Repo from 1.0.1 to version 1.7.0 including all released
libs except expatiate (Currently its not in the nightly build) and also
Terminology.
As far as the nightly build goes once my patches go back in currently all
the core libs - eio (still needs a little work) will be building along with
e17 and a few non released apps and libs as well.
Currently there are some CentOS, Fedora and Mandriva packages as well these
are in various states of working currently and i am not sure if they meet
distro rules.
I spoke to Tomas Cech Sleep_Walker last week and he said he didn't have
alot of time for enlightenment atm but would go through my patch requests.
He has also been updating the nightly repo every 2 or 3 days i've cc'd him
as i am not sure if he is actively following this list so i will cc him.
Into the future i will be pretty keen to create a libefl once the build
tree merges as this will be much easier to maintain. I will also attempt to
build any e17 alphas and betas possibly just in my own branch, given we are
already updating from svn 2-3 times a week it shouldn't be to hard to
create these packages and hopefully it will mean that a e17 release package
can be made within a day or 2 of the release. Over time i can learn enough
to stepup and be a maintainer. Also hopefully these packages can eventually
make it into openSUSE core.
I will write a blog about the current packages once my patches have been
merged back as at that point they will be easy to use again.
Cheers everyone for your fantastic work.
