Well, usually it happens if some file in $HOME/.e/e/fileman/favorites (that's what comes up when you go to E menu and select Files) keeps updating. Sometimes it has smth to do with HAL (if file updating starts with a | e.g. '|storage_serial_HD59_079720_0.desktop'), sometimes the problem is a .order file. You can safely remove any of these files.
