they are. e keeps backups of all conifg (the last 9 versions). those would be
config FOR the clock module (if it should be digital or analog for example) and
it'll keep config for all of its clocks wherever they are in that file... that
won't get rid of clocks tho. you'll just end up resetting them all to
"default". "i need a clock here - stat!" config is in the main e config file
(e.cfg)
