Hi Guys ! I am thrilled there already is a change in the
sources. Spoiler: I finally fixed it !
So ... I think there is some lack of information here and thus people come to
the wrong conclusions. Let me expand.
when you alt+tab this bring up "winlist". this is the name of the module and in
e's code. under settings -> windows -> window switcher you'll find the config
options for this. the below is long, but please read so you can learn and make
it easier to talk about things. it'll help you identify things that are
probably costly much more correctly etc.
I missed that part looking for the configuration of the task switcher.
Thanks for this detail. I read Carsten's answer carefully. Really
educational, thanks for that. So first I tried disabling dithering.
It made it work much better and let me keep the miniatures.
But I turned it back on after the dithering explanation part.
So then I disabled Miniatures in the Window Switcher and it
is really fast now.
....
i do the above as an "education exercise". it' is not meant to make you feel
stupid - i don't expect 99.999% of users to know the above. if i share, maybe
1% will know it and my life will be better in getting better
feedback/reports :) it's incredibly hard to try and figure out what to ask to
try and work out what is going on. when i read "blurry background" i know i had
this in a prior stab at flat in the flat theme branch and i knew that was very
costly, so that was my first port of call. so i hope the above helps explain a
lot of things and put in place some building blocks of information to better
work things out. :)
As for the old hardwre, 100% appreciated it is already usable after 15
years thanks to Enlightenment. This is not my main PC but I have to
use it some times. My point was I understand it is not a priority, I am
glad Florian is by my side. :)
Happy Easter Everybody !
