Jason,

The 4-5 minutes sounds about right. Unicast works fine, but
not a great solution of course. I do have a querier on the core network.
Commands used are below under the S4 config statements.

All

First question

Does it stop between 4-5 minutes?

Second question

Do you have a querier on the network?

If unsure then you need one configured on the router( global config and on each
interface of the router that you would like the streams to cross-VLAN’s)

Subject: [enterasys] Running Symantec Ghost across network

Has anyone had success using Symantec Ghost to re-image hard drives across the
network utilizing multicast. The process will run for a period of time and
then hang or fail. On a standalone C2G124-48, it will usually get to 15% and
then hang. Looking for advice from anyone who has managed to get this process
working properly.

Our configuration is very simple:

S4 at the core with the following commands:

Set igmp enable xxxx,xxxx,xxxx, etc

Set igmp query-enable xxxx,xxxx,xxxx etc

Routing is handled on the S4

E1 at building edge with following commands:

Set igmp enable

Set igmp query-interval 60

Set igmp response-time 120

Set igmp mode vlan xxxx

Set igmp mode ip address 10.10.1.253 (unused IP address)

G3’s connected to E1’s

Set igmpsnooping interfacemode ge.*.* enable

Set igmpsnooping adminmode enable

Set igmpsnooping groupmembershipinterval 60

Set igmpsnooping maxresponse 120

Regards,

Sean
