Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is very much possible - albeit a
certain proximity is needed - and it has been possible since the early 80's
(of course, it's far easier to reconstruct a text terminal signal than a
heavy graphic signal, but it *is* possible, and not even so difficult.

Might be nice for Americans to realize that what they take for granted,
needn't necessarily be so.

In summary, though, most people aren't important enough to spy on with such
sophistication (a good set of binaculars from aclose-by building works as
well), and most of the heavily paranoid people are the folks people would be
LEAST interested in.

It's that easy.
