Tough question.

I think $270 is a lot to charge for an upgrade for a PIM program, but I have
to admit that for something I use every day, day in and day out, almost all
day long, and as good as it is, if I spend $1 per day on Entourage it pays
me back a hundred times that much in personal productivity.

So, having said that, what would I be willing to spend for something that
gives me that same productivity in my pocket? Well, I'd buy the device and
spend $600 there and probably more with some attachments and case and who
knows what else. Undoubtedly, I will spend a bunch of add'l money to create
a wireless solution that's as good as my Handspring VisorPhone.

The thing is the weight .. Which I will compare with the Handspring color
Treo when it comes out in the summer. That's the apples-to-apples that
matters to me. Assuming all the above point me toward the Pocket PC
platform, I see nothing wrong with your asking price for the sync software.
But it has to work, and if there are updates they need to be free or modest.
