I just tried this tip on my own computer (which forwards attachments without trouble), but enabling/disabling this option doesn't seem to have an effect on forwarded messages (on my computer, at least). On computers that exhibit the problem, attached files from the original email don't even show up in the Attachments section of the forwarded message. Looks like it's a bug, not a feature!
