Fran�ois, It sounds like you may have misunderstood a few things...
you are supposed to go into your Preferences folder and move the "Microsoft" folder that's in there out to your desktop - this will force Entourage to create a new preferences file when it starts. You're not supposed to do anything with your identity's folder. Also, the applescript that quits the deamon does not require entourage to run. Just open the script editor, type in: tell� application "Microsoft Database Daemon" to� quit and click run. That's it.
