That I have done. The Microsoft folder is out of my Home folder's Library
folder. Entourage's main "Mail" window won't even come up; I get a message
stating :

Entourage cannot access your data. To attempt to fix the problem, rebuild
your database. 

followed by a prompt to rebuild the database. If I accept it, I get

Compacting failed
The end of file was reached

and I'm asked to do an advanced rebuild. Same "end of file" message, and

Rebuilding failed. It is likely that your database cannot be repaired.

then Erage quits.
