It does sound like your database is hosed. I can't help with details on using BBEdit to recover your files. Sorry! Unless you have mail that is really important, I would just start fresh. It's possible you can recover individual mails with BBEdit, but to do the entire database could be more of a job than it's really worth. I do recommend that you set a Task to remind you to copy your database on a regular basis. Simply Duplicate the identity and add the date for archiving purposes. This way you can revert to a previous database if this ever occurs again. Remember to save older databases since corruption sometimes does not show up for a while. You might need to go back several weeks to find a good one. I had this happen to me with Quicken. I lost months of data, but I had kept copies and finally found one that was not corrupt. -- Diane Ross MVP Entourage (MVPs are volunteers) Entourage Help Page <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
