This has not been a good week.

Apple just replaced the (dead) internal hard drive in my TiBook, and I used
Retrospect to
recover my entire hard drive. (If it matters, Apple replaced my 48 GB drive
with an 80 GB
drive.)

I'm running OS X 10.2.8 on a TiBook 667, and EvX. I think I'm up to date,
having applied
the MS Office X 10.1.5 patch a while back.

When I restarted after the "restore", I was pleased to see that all my
preferences were back
the way they had been, to the point that even my Login Items were intact -
including
Entourage.

Well, at first things seemed okay. Entourage automatically launched, and I
could see my e-
mail, and Entourage began downloading the (very large) backlog of e-mail from
both POP
and IMAP servers.

But before it could finish, both the Database Daemon and Entourage crashed!

Next time I restarted, I held down the Option key to force Entourage to
rebuild the
database. It didn't help.

The good news is, I can easily recover my old database from my backup.

The bad news is, I have no idea what steps to take to get Entourage to
actually run!
Needless to say, I'm eager to hear suggestions that will allow me to "save"
the info in my
Entourage DB, and also let me quickly offload all the accumulated mail in my
inboxes,
before I go "over quota". :-)

Thanks in advance.

Enjoy!
