Paul I have an issue where a customer remove there Identity from Entourage X. And when they launch Entourage it asked the customer for a Product Key. Do you know why that happens?
The reason why I am asking you this in a reply is because my questions are not being sent out at all. If one method works well and the other method gets you a blank database that "loses" all your mail and contacts, why not just learn to do it the way that works? This is not a question of civil liberties. If you _really want_ to move your MUD, fine, move it, there's nobody stopping you, no computer police; and get a new blank database. That seems rather dumb advice to me. > > FWIW I like the clear delineation between different types of data, each in > its own place. I find it liberating. Apparently not everyone really wants to understand, they just want it to work. For those people, when their eyes glaze over during your explanation, you just have to remind them what works and what doesn't. > > Just explain to them that /Users/you is your home on a multiuser system and > that this makes it EASIER to find things. Their data lives in "Documents," > and since the "Microsoft User Data" folder contains data (among other things > you need not mention) it lives in Documents. Good idea. That doesn't change that this is what they _have_ to do (or learn about aliases) if they want it to work. -- Paul Berkowitz MVP Entourage Entourage FAQ Page: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/toc.html> AppleScripts for Entourage: <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/> PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - **2004**, X or 2001.
