The filter wasn't trained on my spam. It was trained on the spam of tens of
thousands of non-Microsoft volunteers. Statistically speaking I think the
training set contains a fairly representative set of the stuff you receive.

That's too bad. I can assure you that's not been the case for the vast
majority of Entourage users. The filter in X was very simplistic and
outdated. It had not been updated in years and thus had fallen way behind in
the spam/anti-spam arms race.

Everything. The old engine was ripped out and the new one replaced it.

I suggest you try cranking up the filter level to High or Exclusive. Or if
you really want a training filter, there's always SpamSieve.
