Does this mean that, in the future, when spammers find a way around the
filter, the team will not only learn their evil methods but send us a
revised filter algorithm as an update?

So far, by the way, no false positives (when the filter has been taught to
add certain addresses) and very few slipping through. Nice to see that
spammers don't adapt as fast as, say, the Borg.
