It does appear to depend upon the folder, but not in any way I've figured
out yet.

For example.

The folder into which my Entourage list mail is sorted is displaying the
date sent on all the messages, whether I sort it by Date Sent or Date
Received.

My Inbox displays the received date, again no matter how I sort it.

Argh!
