Thanks for the idea, Diane, but that does not sound like my problem. The problem only occurs when using the delete key to delete a message in the list. I select a message to delete (the message line definitely has the focus) and hit delete. Nothing happens!
Entourage 2004 never launches with this error condition...it happens sometime after launch. Quitting and relaunching always returns the delete key function to delete a message. It does not happen every day but it definitely happens a couple times a month. I did use a Logitech mouse which I recently replaced with an IntelliMouse 2. I have no idea if the Logitech Mouse driver software had something to do with it. However, I've never seen the temporary loss of the delete key function in any other application.
