Joris & group: I have also seen a dramatic slowdown in Entourage across a variety of different systems (Powerbook, iMac, PowerMac G4/5), all with sufficient RAM. Systems are almost all on 10.3.x, although I am seeing it on Tiger as well.
This slowdown is most noticeable in Entourage, where many of my users have reported a periodic "SPOD" (spinning pinwheel of doom). This results in Entourage being temporarily frozen, which many users perceive as a crash. Entourage always recovers from this, but the delay is quite annoying. I am not sure, but I believe that this delay corresponds with the running of my "Send & Receive All" schedule. This delay was imperceptible and/or not present in previous versions of Entourage. Incidentally, most of my users are connecting to Exchange 2000. Not sure if this may be a contributing factor or not. Anyone else seeing this? Any advice? Help!
