It's not Verdana. It's the fact that you aren't using plain text in that account. Either in the account, the program or your system you have something that says send curly quotes (typographer quotes). There is a problem with those because the coding is not identical cross platform. This shouldn't happen because those emails with typosgrapher quotes ought to clearly state their origin in the headers but some programs don't look and other's look but can't do something about it (being old and antique). Thus Don't use those kind of quotes in email rich -- If you can't believe what you read in comic books, what can you believe? � Bullwinkle J.
