It depends on what your end goal is.  Your probaby better off buying a film
scanner.  Personaly I use a film scanner, and just get negatives/slides
processed.  I know that in the newspaper business, its time thats the
factor, and digital cameras can cut the time from photo to computer time by
30 min at least.
