I was at a social event last night, and I had a great deal of difficulty
shooting pictures. It was very dark. On auto-focus the focus assist light
would come on and it was VERY intrusive, in some cases ruining the moment.
When I tried manual focus, I couldn't see very well, and the Rebel has no
screen marker to aid in focusing.
A friend was also shooting the event with an old Canon AE-1 and seemed to be
having no problems.
Question: Do any of the Autofocus EOS cameras have a manual focus view that
is easy and/or helpful to use? Is there an add on or something to my Rebel?
Or do I just have to accept the fact of this weakness with autofocus
cameras?
