Hi again-

I don't want to tell you that you are wrong, but it's looks like I might
have been.  I'd swear you referred to "RS-80N3"

If you referred to a RS-60E3 it seems to be connected by a simple
"stereo" or what the Canon  brochures call "standard 2-pin subminiature
jack"  In that case there has been a series of replies bout how to deal
with that little beauty.
