Questioning whether I really understand this.  With E-TTL, is setting
FEC  doing anything other than altering the flash-to-ambient ration?
I've been assuming that when I set, say, -2 stops of FEC, I'm simply
reducing flash output relative to the ambient exposure - in effect,
creating fill flash.  But like so many things about E-TTL, I could be
teribly wrong!  And does it act differently in P, Tv, Av and M modes?
I'm using an EOS 33/Elan 7.
