UPS will *never* do that for/to me! Sometimes I wish they would. Not with camera equipment of course, but I order other relatively worthless stuff and am rarely home to sign. The FedEx drivers know me (so do the UPS guys) and know where my back door is - they'll leave stuff discreetly becuase they know it's ok with me. I've never been able to get UPS to do the same, and thus prefer Priority Mail actually. I find it hard to imagine this complaint about UPS.
