IIRC the "Digital Wallet" was made by a company called
MindStor who are no longer in business. However, a number
of other, similar, products are available.
I use the "Digital Album Lite" made by Nixvue and have found it to
be both reliable (I haven't lost anything) and useful (it's a lot
lighter than a laptop). The DAlite has a nice LCD screen
(text only - no preview) with a decent menu structure that's
pretty easy to navigate. The HD is user replaceable as well.
I paid $229 (plus shipping & UK taxes) for the 20Gb version
from B&H.
Others available include the Tripper, Image Bank and the X-drive.
Some of these are available without a HD so if you happen to
have an old laptop drive they can be a very cheap way to
get hold of a large block of storage.
There are also additional models from Nixvue that include
either TV preview or a colour LCD screen. The non-lite
version of the Nixvue "Digital Album" will display previews
of JPEG and CRW files - including those from the 10D.
I've only used my unit to copy CF cards back at the hotel
every night. You do have to remember that these devices
contain a (relatively) fragile HD and therefore do not
appreciate being knocked or moved violently while writing!
An alternative device writes directly to CD-ROM from the
CF card without requiring a computer. These are only just
coming onto the market and I've no direct experience
with them...
