Obviously, D30 in that case embeds jpegs in RAW files. I was using FileViewer utility and could not extract Jpegs out of it. This option was greyed out in the menu. So I figured that D30 does not embed JPEGS in it.
Checking this now with the updated version (EOS File Viewer), this stays the same. The extract jpeg option in the menu is grayed out.
