Btw RAW-files, I just read in the German C't that only with the EOS
1D(s) you can select a pure raw-image, being unsharpened....all lower
models sharpen by default (at least somewhat).
Since sharpening in mathematical context is rather arbitrary (if only
for the question at what point in the work-flow, I guess), this
should be a point of consideration for the perfectionists....:))
Btw, I think I read in the same article a note about correction of
chromatical abberation....once you know which particular lens was
used, zoom-setting, distance and aperture, you can correct a bit of
that too....not sure though whether I have read anything about such
lens-specific optimalisations in the past....perhaps a very generic
chromatic-correction at best? (not lens-dependant)
